A Principal-Led Approach

Muzamani is deliberately structured as a principal-led practice.

David remains directly involved in engagements, particularly where senior judgement, complex risk issues, executive communication or Audit and Risk Committee reporting are involved.

Where an engagement requires specialist skills or additional capacity, appropriately selected associates or specialists may be used for defined components of the work. This allows Muzamani to provide additional capability without losing direct senior involvement in the engagement.

The result is a straightforward model: senior expertise, direct access and defined accountability.

How We Work

Muzamani’s approach is based on five principles:

Independence

Assurance work is performed with appropriate objectivity and without assuming management responsibility.

Evidence

Findings are supported by documented evidence and linked to agreed criteria.

Risk focus

Work is directed towards the risks and control areas that matter most to the organisation.

Practical recommendations

Recommendations are designed to address the underlying cause of a problem and support realistic management action.

Clear reporting

Reports communicate the condition, criteria, cause, risk or impact, recommendation and agreed management action in a form that management and governance structures can use.

Where We Work

Muzamani’s experience includes assignments in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Malawi, together with work involving organisations and clients across the wider Southern African region.
